Philippines Tourism Fair at the Berjaya Times Square, KL

Philippines Tourism Fair

If you’ve always wanted to go to the Philippines but weren’t sure how, you’re in luck this weekend - the Philippines Ministry of Tourism is holding a three day fair at the Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur, from 20-22 July.

The Fair features airlines such as Cebu Pacific and AirPhil Express, as well as Filipino hotel chains where you can pick up a bargain break. There are also treasure hunts held a few times each day, with flight tickets to the Philippines from Kuala Lumpur as the grand prize.

Throughout the day, there are also live performances showcasing traditional activities such as dancing and crafts.

Friendly tourism staff are on hand to help advise you on where to go and you can pick up lots of inspiration from the brochures. Learn about the island of Palawan, mystical Siquor Island, the eco-island of Bohol and historical Cebu.

With growth of Malaysian tourists up 29.8% in 2010 and 15.1% in 2011, it’s no wonder that the Philippines are focusing their efforts on Malaysia: new direct air routes between Kuala Lumpur and Clark have recently been launched by AirAsia as well as Kuala Lumpur to Manila on AirPhil Express, a Filipino budget airline.
