Bhutan is a small and secluded nation that places equally high importance to happiness as to the economy where the practice of Buddhism plays a major role. There are only two legals points of entry into the country, Phuentsholing which borders India and Paro International airport. Paro is a town with many sacred sites and historical buildings like Paro Dzong and the Taktsang Goemba, a monastry that clings on to a few hundred of meters of a high cliff. It is certainly an impressive sight and one of the symbols of Bhutan.
Visit some of the earliest and most sacred sites of Buddhism at Bumthang. Take hikes up the mountains, spot blue sheep and unwind at the relaxing hot springs at Gasa. Bhutan is also popular for trekking activities. Embark on the Snowman Trek and Jhomolhari Trek challenges and hike your way to the capture spectacular sights of the mountains and visit remote villages like Lunana.
